The Tail of Despereanx "IM DONE"

Ok I'm officially dropping the book. Mainly because it's over do, it's also really boring, plus Romeo and Juliet is getting too be way to much. So that's why I'm letting the Tail of Despereanx go.

Why did this book go so low on my reading list?? Mostly the way she wrote it READER what do you think now how bout now, do you agree? Some times I wonder how that book won a Newberry award, plus its getting a movie how exciting.

Well that's all, but don't take my word to hard some people really love this book and can't put it down, but I guess what ever floats your boat right.

The Tail of Despereanx "To The Dungeon Part 2"

As we already know Despereanx is in the dungeon. He fears that he is already too late and will not can not save princess Pea. "Once upon a time" screams into the darkness "Once upon a time" he repeats himself. He is surely dead, but the loudest of all voices probably the biggest of all rats respond.

"A knight in shinning armour." All of a sudden he is swooped up and cupped by this hand. It is a man!!? Greg is his name. This guy is the keeper of the jail almost a prisoner himself. He knows all about mice and rats. He asks Despereanx to tell him a story to save his life.

Ok so that was the main thing that went on in this chapter. Okay maybe it got a little bit better from last week, but still its just not working out. This book is so boring in my opinion. A way it got better was more action in the beginning it was just a classic fairy tale love story. Not like Romeo and Juliet though. A little bit younger age. Speaking of Romeo and Juliet it is starting to get fun, but complicated. Well that's all this week math home work time haha.

The Tail of Despereanx "To The Dungeon"

In these several chapters Despereanx is sent to the DUNGEON because as you know he broke the biggest of all mouse rules he talked to the humans. After the other mice found this out they held a "castle mouse meeting." They discussed the fate of Despereanx in this meeting and he is destined to live out the rest of his life in the dungeon.
Honestly this book is kinda starting to get annoying is constantly says reader reader reader. Way to much repetition of the word reader. Plus it is meant towards kids seriously why do they have this book in a high school library if it is about a mouse and his fairy tale haha. I guess the book does have some good morals though, but it should not be in a high school library.
Well if I don't finish this book by December 10th and at the rate I'm reading I probably wont then I will drop it. One reason is because its due. Another is because it's super boring. Finally we will be starting our Romeo and Juliet and I really can't handle two fairy tales. That's all see ya next post.

The Tail of Despereanx

This week I started a knew book. It is called The Tale of Despereanux. It is about a mouse that was the only born of the liter that made it and he was born with his eyes open, his ears to big, and he has a diease.

Its kinda sad actully, but he is not a mouse to the family or the other mice. He just is to weird he likes music and literature instead of food and scurrying. The other mice say he's a dissapointment, but they deal with it.

Untill now Desperanux broke the biggest of all mouse rules he gave himself up to a human that was once the only thing that made him normal, but now that he did that he is called upon the metting of mice. To give him a punishment.

Well that is how far I got this week it actully goes pretty fast compared to what I thought it would be. See you guys later bye.

The Lost Boy "Adrift Part Two"

On the second half of the chapter Adrit, David has to go to a psychiatrist. His psychiatrist is kinda well lets say mean. He's doing his job, but its just so annoying the way he does it.

Basically he says Daniel instead of David and makes Dave feel very stupid. The Doctor is always trying to get into Dave's mind. Seriously can you believe this he goes to David "Daniel" and asks do you remember when your mother burned you, do you think its your fault? Even if I was crazy I wouldn't live like that.

Later on in the story Big Larry (one of Davids older foster kid friends) asks if he wants to go bowling with him. David immediately said yes and they biked through the town of Daly City. David passes Thomas Edison Elementary and remembers everything and it gets even worse they go down David's old street and sees the old house. All of a sudden his brother spots him!! And when they got home there was hell to raise by Ms. C. She was furious and said that David could be taken away for doing something like that.

All and all this book gets better than worse than better again it still has the capacity to keep my attention, but I just don't know for how much longer.

The Lost Boy "Adrift"

This week on the Lost Boy David keeps getting in fights with this kid named Larry Jr. You wouldn't belive this kid he picks on the mentally disabled wants to start fights and has no respect for anyone. Dave tries to stay away, but his luck does run out and he becomes very vicious and uses some pretty bad words.

If I ever met someone like Larry Jr. I wouldn't be able to take it I would just have to flip on him too lol :) even know that's a bad thing sometimes that's the only way to get to a bully like Larry. Wouldn't you agree. Some times I wonder how can David take this I mean this kid has the worst luck I have ever seen he missed out on his parents, he had to leave the school district for stealing food, he gets picked on by Larry and he is some what socially challenged.

Ms. Catanze has finally decided to help though she is bringing him to a doctor. This is not a doctor for your body, but for your mind up there. She thinks that if she does this then David might be at rest about the bad feelings in his brain. I think this would help him too because in my opinion if I had to come out of a bad life of abuse I would be a little messed up too.

See you next week when we find out more about Dave and his new psychiatrist.

The Lost Boy "New Beginnings"

Since David has one the trial case it is finally his chance to start something new. He begins his new life at Aunt Mary's house, but doesn't stay there for long. Maybe a month or two he moves to his new "permanent" foster home.

His new house is at Ms. Catanze house or Lilian's house. The first kid he met was not the nicest to him, but then he met Big Larry he and Dave became really good Friends. Those two went to movies and did all these really fun activities. After a couple moths the Catanze's had their big fourth of July weekend get away and it turned out to be the same park all those years ago David and his family went.

At the park he relived some of the best memories of his life, but also some of the worst. He knew that this was the park where his mother used to love him and hit. He went to the swings and was reminded of his brothers it was a very sad place for David.

After that he was back home and Lillian had to tell him some thing, but before she could tell him the door rang he bolted down the stairs and guess who it was Lillian came rushing after and announced herself as the Foster Mother Mrs. Pelzer just entered the room without saying a word today and right before she left she brought in the bike from a couple years ago his grandma had given him. When she left he had a melt down Asking why didn't she love him why did she make him eat poop why did she cut him and burn him on the stove why would she drown him and make him breath in deadly chemicals WHY WHY WHY????????????

Wouldn't it be sad to live his life I don't think I could have well see you next week

The Lost Boy "The Trial"

Sorry my blog was a little late this week, but I went hunting.

Chapter three of the Lost Boy “The Trial” is about the case of David Pelzer and to see if he would be a ward of the county or not. At the beginning of the chapter he was removed from his home and was going to a temporary foster home. David was so energetic and happy to finally be free, in fact he was so happy that he broke a lamp and was scared he wouldn’t get dinner for the next week.

After about a month’s stay at Aunt Mary’s he heard a noise he wished he would never hear again HIS MOTHERS STATION WAGON. She was there to pick him up even though she would not acknowledge his existents she wouldn’t let him be free. His mother was trying to intimidate Aunt Mary saying she would get David back, but luckily for David Aunt Mary was a loving caring person that would never let him go back to that house.

On Wednesday he had to go to the trial he had already made up his mind that there was no way to escape and that the only way to get out of this is to lie and admit that he was a bad boy, but fate has an unexpected twist Ms. Gold was there and gave him the courage he needed. He told the jury and the court the truth and the Jude asked him if he wanted to go home and at the top of his lungs he screamed NO. His mother broke out in tears and gave him clothes and toys and she told him that “I will miss you David and be a good boy, you have a second chance now” I guess at the end of the chapter his mother finally woke up and saw all the horrors she had done.

The Lost Boy "A Angel Named Ms. Gold"

This week on the book about the lost boy, a teacher named Ms. Gold finally caught on to what was happening at home with his mom. She notified the school system and the nurse started inspecting David. David loves Ms. Gold because she is so understanding and is so sympathetic towards David, which is what he needs because he gets none of that from his parents.

If I was in David situation I would be really scared. The main reason is because I would hate to have the school system inspecting me, but it might be different if I was abused. In the book she would also help David out and give him candy and make sure he felt at home, because she knew of the atrocities that were going on at home, and trust me they weren't good.

At the end of the chapter though Ms. Gold had to leave, see she was never the real teacher, but only a sub for the other teacher. After all this, David does feel better and is a lot happier with what was going on he looked forward to go to school just to see her even know she is gone a rescue for David is in the mist.

The Lost Boy

Hello Class Mates :),

This week I read the first chapter of The Lost Boy it is almost as depressing as the original book A Child Called It. So far it is meeting all my expectations such as how it is narrated, the language, and the visual effect . I don't have any complaints with my book yet, but it is still as disturbing as the first.

So far The Lost Boy is about how "It" or David was Giving the choice to run away. He almost let his freedom slip away, but came to his senses and ran like heck (the book describes it a little more vividly though). After running for about an hour, I would assume, he went into a bar that served pizza, and got caught trying to steal money to buy food. After that the police came and took David away. All his chances gone and ruined, because his dad had to come and pick him up and bring him back to the place he wants to be furthest away.
As you can see David does not have the best of luck, but will he try to run away again or will he give up and try to live out his miserable life in that dark cold garage. I personally would hate for him to do that, because he has already fought so hard why would you want to give up the chance for freedom. I guess we will both find out next on the story of the survival of David Pelzer a child called "IT."

A Child Called it.

A Child Called It was basically a story about one of the most disturbing and horrific child abuse cases in California. It is a true story that documents the struggles that David Petzler (the author and main character) had to go through. This story tells about the struggles of going without food for days and surviving horrible punishments by his mom.
I personally thought it was a really good book and was very interesting at times it would make you think about your own life and how thankful you are to be. At some points though I just wanted to put the book down and stop reading because it was that disturbing. The book does use very intense language and is very graphic about the tortures his mom put him through.
A important part of the story was when his mother loved him in the beging. It was import because he always wished that was the mother he would come home too. His mother never did come back she would continue to abuse him until the school system stepped in and stopped the treacherous abuse.

I do have some questions for those who have read the book, can you tell me if you think you know why his mother would do that to him and not the other brothers? Also what happened to the father the book really didn't make that clear?
